Good morning,

My store of books arrived, and I’ll be scheduling events. I’m still waiting on marketing materials and links to Maine Authors Publishing and Amazon. In the meantime, I thought I would introduce you to a few of my characters.

Mariah – She is the main character of this book. She is a young mother. Her family is from the coast of Italy, and she is a landscape painter who studied in Paris.  Mariah is living in Amsterdam where a group of friends are planning to emigrate to a Dutch Colony called Pella in the state of Iowa. Her husband unexpectedly passed away which caused her to pause, and then she jumped a ship with her daughter to head out on her own and meet them there.

Jim – Captain Francis James O’Hara, which is rather pretentious for Jim, but he is one sexy Irishman. He has a large manor house to maintain and welcomes a lot of friends and family there. He is also very busy with a fleet of ships and a new one being built. The two are very attracted to each other and cannot resist that temptation. He is also engaged to the beautiful daughter of one of his biggest investors.

Eli – You will fall in love with Eli. I did. Well, both men. He is Jim’s friend that he has known since boyhood when their fathers met in Canada. Eli is now in Maine as consulate for Maine and Canadian affairs. He is Jim’s lawyer and right-hand man. He is very smart and a little unscrupulous. He is also a lawyer who represents the Maine Wabanaki tribe. He travels all the time and speaks in a half French-English brogue. 

Samantha – You will be introduced to this lively little orphan girl in this; book one of the Casco Bay series. I have been writing book two, more on that soon.
